You’ve seen them.
Video’s on YouTube with no description, text or copy.
Bummer.
That marketer, AKA business owner, has just missed out on getting more eyes on her video by not including some additional information like a simple description or transcript of what the video says.
It’s sort of like posting a photo on your blog, all by it’s self. How lonely.
Seriously?
OK, I’ll admit that I’m a bit lazy when it comes to doing EVERYTHING one is supposed to do to market their business, even when it comes to the very powerful tactic of video marketing. I know, we’re all really busy, right?
So, that’s why I’m always on the prowl for new, inexpensive shortcuts to market more effectively without doing a lot more work.
And here you go.
Just head over to http://www.speakertext.com/ import your video from YouTube, Vimeo (or some others), pay just 2 bucks per minute, and in 72 hours you’ll have the transcription from the video. Now post that sucker in the description portion of your vid, and you’re all set.
They also have an option to use CaptionBox on your site, which shows the scrolling transcript of the video as it plays.
Very Cool.
When it comes to using video for marketing, a little more can make a lot of difference.
