I know, LinkedIn isn’t as sexy as Facebook and not as hip as Twitter, but it’s still a great place to market your business if you use it right.
I’m going to make it really easy for you and give you just one assignment today.
Complete your profile.

I’m astonished at how many people don’t add their head shot and fill our their profile completely.
Plan to spend a half hour working on it, make it something that really represents you and your business. Give yourself a really cool “Headline” that describes both what you do and that reflects your personality. Doing this effectively can make you stand out from the crowd.
Complete the Summary, your Experience, add your Skills, Education and other relevant information. Make sure you add your main keywords (if you have any, and if you don’t you’re really missing out on some of the power of LinkedIn, and I can’t really think of a good reason why you don’t have some killer keywords that will get you found…) where ever you can.
How do you know when you are done?
