Do you have a Facebook Page yet?
If you own a business or have a blog, you need to be promoting it on Facebook!
Here are a couple of bits of good news. They are no longer called Fan Pages, so you don’t have to feel weird about creating a page, and I’m going to show you how to set up your very own Page in the video below.
Don’t worry if you make a mistake the first time, you can delete your page and create a new one. The best thing to do is just get started, get your feet wet and make changes and corrections from there.
One note, you need to have at least 25 “likes” to get a “vanity URL” for your page. I’ll cover that in the next tutorial.
Feel free to ask any questions you have in the comments section below, and remember, Sharing is Sexy!
Love this. Just was going to email you about a fan page…and poof…here’s your response!
I have a page for my business that was set up as a fan page and is attached to my personal page. I understand that I can now set up a business page that would keep everything seperate. I currently have about 75 people that like my page. Is it worth it to make the switch?
According the Facebook Terms of Service, if you already have a personal account, you cannot set up a business account too. You have to administrate your pages through your personal account. I can’t really see any reason to have a separate account anyway. Business accounts are limited in what they can see and do. So as far as I can see, you are fine the way you are.
If you’d like, leave the link to your business page and I’ll take a look.
Thanks!
